Suppose, you are Sunny/Sonia. Your close friend, Tania knows a lot about environment pollution. Now, write a dialogue between you and your friend on various adverse effects and remedies in this problem.
Ans A dialogue between you and your friend on adverse effects of environmental pollution.
Sonia : Hello, Tania! Have you noticed that many people are being affected by various kinds of diseases in the city of Dhaka? Newspapers report that many children have been hospitalised for some peculiar problems.
Tania : Yes, all these are happening due to environment pollution.
Sonia : I can guess also. Can you tell me the reasons of environmental pollutions?
Tania : Environmental pollution occurs for various reasons. You see, thousands of cars and vehicles ply on the city streets and they emit smoke with carbon-di-oxide, carbon mon- oxide and other harmful gases. These smoke and gases mix with air and pollute it.
Sonia : Air is an important element of our environment. So, we inust take some measures to stop polluting air.
Tania : Yes, you are right. Many measures are taken to minimise air pollution. But we cannot implement them fully because population is increasing rapidly. With the increase of population the number of vehicles, mills and factories is increasing. All these things pollute the environment.
Sonia : I think our water is also getting polluted which is another important element of environment.
Tania : Exactly. Launch and steamers run through our rivers and canals and they pollute water by throwing many waste chemicals into the water. Moreover, our farmers use chemical fertilizers. They get mixed with the pond, canal and river water and pollute water.
Sonia : Can't we stop polluting water totally?
Tania : We can minimise but can't stop totally. You know, different kinds of sounds also create serious kind of pollution.
Sonia : We must raise public consciousness regarding the bad effects of environment pollution.
Tania : Right you are.
