THE LIFE OF A FISHERMAN
A fisherman is one who lives by catching and selling fish. He leads a very poor life. Generally a fisherman lives by the bank of a river, canal or sea. Early in the morning he wakes up and goes to the river, canal or sea with his net. He catches fish throughout the day and comes back horge in the evening. If he can catch fish, he sells them in the market and collects food for his family with that money.
Often he has to starve for want of money. So he lives a very miserable life. He is devoid of all sorts of facilities enjoyed by the people living in a town or a city. Every year he is directly affected by the storm, tidal bore or SIDR which takes away everything what he has. His house, cattle and crops are washed away and he is rendered homeless. Then his misery knows no bound and he has to live on the embankment without any shelter and food. Then the relief comes from the government or non- government organisation. For all these reasons, he cannot overcome his poverty. his contribution towards the economy of the country is very important, he is a neglected man in the society: He supplies us fish which contains good protein for our health. So the government and the other. organisations should come forward to overcome their poor condition.
